Use

The boards are mainly intended for floor use on balconies and terraces, as paving for swimming pools and other similar purposes outdoors. Use the base prisms from the same type of wood as the planks, observe their axial spacing of 40 cm, the laying direction perpendicular to the adjacent building and a slope of approx. 1% (1 cm / 1 meter of length). Pre-drill and countersink the boards before assembling them to the underlying prisms against possible burrs around the screw head, thus preventing the appearance of cracks at the point of attachment, which can further increase in the event of sudden changes in weather and frost. To assemble the boards, use stainless steel screws 5x60 mm, which must be at least 5 cm from the ends of the boards and 1.5 cm from their edges. Keep an expansion joint of approx. 0.5 cm between the individual boards, if you connect them one behind the other, then 0.5 cm per regular meter of board length (3 m board - expansion joint 1.5 cm). It depends on the weather and how the boards are stored. We recommend leaving the assembly to a specialized company, because DEOKORK s.r.o., as a supplier of the material, cannot be held responsible for its unprofessional installation. Boards without surface treatment will acquire a silver-grey patina appearance over time and small cracks may begin to appear on them, which may continue to grow, so we recommend painting the boards and prisms with a suitable glaze or oil.

Basic characteristics

This tree comes from the south of the Czech Republic and is characterized by a very dense structure. Pine is an evergreen, up to 40 m tall, coniferous tree that can live up to 350 years. It is red-orange in the upper part of the trunk, grayish in the lower part. It is very light-loving and intolerant to shading. It grows on shallow, poor, drier sandy to stony soils, it also occurs on peaty and marshy soils, and sometimes on saline soils. In the Czech Republic, it is found throughout the territory except for locations above 1000 m above sea level, very often cultivated in cultural forests and parks.
