Scandinavian thermopine is a wood that undergoes a special heat treatment in the range of 200 - 215˚C, which changes the properties of the wood. During the thermal process, practically all biological substances are destroyed. Thanks to thermo treatment, there are almost no dimensional changes, the wood is not attacked by pests or wood-decay fungi. It is not resistant to UV radiation, which causes the material to turn gray over time. If we want to delay graying, we must use the recommended treatment (transparent or with pigment). After laying the terrace, we recommend treating the terrace boards with an oil coating for terraces by Faxe.
